VA Black Hills Health Care System (VA BHHCS) is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to care for Veterans at the BHHCS Community Living Center (CLC) with the expectation to expand services to our Veterans with neurocognitive disorders having a focus on caring for Veterans with dementia in the CLC and as a provider of a home-based memory care (HBMC) team. Advanced GI Physician Assistant for Gastroenterology at the Salisbury VA Medical Center. There will be limited flexibility to practice general GI in Salisbury, Kernersville or Charlotte locations. The primary areas of responsibility will involve the Advanced GI clinic. This PA will be fully qualified and certified to function in a clinical role and in accordance with the guidelines and policies of the Salisbury Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

The Centralized Eligibility and Assessment Team (CEAT) is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Caregiver Support Program (CSP) to provide state-of-the-art continuum of services, education and resources to caregivers of Veterans with complex needs. The Psychiatry Physician Assistant is an entry level position responsible for the care and administrative needs of mental health patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. The PA also functions as a coordinator between the attending physician and the other team members to include nurses, Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, psychologists, social workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselors, and other clinic personnel.

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. About the Position: The Physician Assistant position is located on Fort Lee, Virginia and serves in a Primary Health Care Clinic (e.g., Family Practice Clinic, Active Duty Clinic, Troop Medical Clinic, or Physical Exam Clinic) or in specialty clinics. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service. The Physician Assistant will work closely with the breast care team to assist in the management of surgical patients across the continuum of care. They will be responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive care for assigned patients including comprehensive assessments, ordering appropriate laboratory and x-ray studies, consulting and referring to physicians and other health care members as appropriate.
